The short circuit system of Panasonic battery refers to the connection of positive and negative poles in lead-acid battery. Short-circuit phenomena of lead-acid batteries are mainly manifested in the following aspects:
A. The open circuit voltage is low, and the closed circuit voltage (discharge) quickly reaches the termination voltage.
B. When high current is discharged, the terminal voltage drops rapidly to zero.
C. When open circuit, the density of electrolyte is very low, and the electrolyte will freeze in low temperature environment.
D. When charging, the voltage rises very slowly and remains low (sometimes drops to zero).
E. When charging, the temperature of electrolyte rises very fast.
F. When charging, the density of electrolyte increases very slowly or almost unchanged.
G. No bubbles or gases occur late when charging.
The main reasons for short circuit in Panasonic batteries in Shenyang are as follows:
A. Baffle quality is not good or defective, so that the active material of the plate passes through, resulting in virtual contact or direct contact between positive and negative plates.
B. Baffle channeling causes positive and negative plates to connect.
C. Expansion and exfoliation of active substances on the plate lead to contact between the bottom edge or side edge of the positive and negative plates due to excessive deposition of the exfoliated active substances.
D. Conductive objects fall into Panasonic batteries and cause positive and negative plates to connect.
E. The "lead current" formed during welding pole group has not been eliminated, or "lead beans" exist between positive and negative plates during assembly, which damage the separator during charging and discharging and cause the positive and negative plates to connect.
